Remodeling FAQ

Questions before we start.

Clear answers about costs, permits, timelines, surprises behind the walls, and how Strong Tower keeps remodels organized.

Before the estimate

What homeowners ask us most often.

Every home is different, especially across Brevard County's coastal neighborhoods. These answers are meant to help you understand the process before we look at the space in person.

What does a bathroom remodel cost in Brevard County?

Bathroom remodel pricing depends on the size of the room, tile selection, shower layout, vanity and fixture choices, plumbing changes, glass, lighting, and what we find during demolition. A simple refresh costs much less than a full gut-and-rebuild. Strong Tower starts with an on-site visit so the quote reflects the actual room instead of a generic number.

Do I need a permit for a bathroom, kitchen, or deck remodel?

Some remodels need permits and some do not. Cosmetic updates may not require one, while plumbing, electrical, structural changes, window or door changes, and deck or exterior work often do. Requirements can vary by municipality and scope, so we talk through permitting during the estimate and help identify what needs to be handled before work begins.

How long does a kitchen remodel usually take?

Kitchen timelines depend on cabinet availability, countertop fabrication, backsplash and flooring work, appliance placement, plumbing or electrical changes, inspections, and how much of the layout is changing. Before work starts, we talk through the expected sequence so you understand what parts of the home will be affected and when.

What happens if you find rot, bad wiring, or hidden damage during demolition?

If demolition uncovers rot, moisture damage, unsafe wiring, plumbing issues, framing problems, or previous work that should not be covered up, we stop and explain what we found. We show you the issue, talk through the practical options, and update the scope before moving forward. The goal is to protect the finished remodel and avoid surprises later.

Can Strong Tower take over an unfinished remodel?

Yes. Repair and rescue remodels are one of the services we offer. We start by assessing what was completed, what may need correction, what materials are still usable, and what must happen before finish work continues. From there, we build a clear plan to get the project moving again.

Do you help with material selections?

Yes. We help homeowners think through materials, durability, maintenance, budget, and how each choice affects the final look. For kitchens, bathrooms, flooring, built-ins, and outdoor living spaces, the goal is to make selections that fit your priorities and the way you live in the home.
